Cleaning in place (CIP) means cleaning equipment and pipework without taking it apart, by running a cleaning solution through it. The solution has to be made up at the right strength, and that is where a dosing pump comes in. A water-driven injector adds cleaning concentrate to the water line at the dose rate you set.
