Description
The Twist II Clean is a self cleaning water filter that protects dosing pumps, injectors and irrigation lines from the grit and debris that wear them out. A quarter turn of the top handle backwashes the element clean in under 20 seconds, without shutting off the water, and the stainless steel element lasts for years. There are no cartridges to buy and replace.
Filtering the water before it reaches your equipment is the cheapest maintenance you can do. Most premature wear on a dosing pump traces back to particles getting into the seals, piston and injector, and a filter upstream removes that cause rather than treating the symptom.
Patented Reverse Flushing Action
When the top handle is turned, three things happen at once:
- Flow direction is changed to inside out.
- The filter element is lifted, opening the bottom flush port.
- An inside out backwash occurs, carrying the trapped debris out of the flush port.
Because the water stays on throughout, no air is introduced into the system, which means no purging and no loss of prime on the equipment downstream.

Choosing a Filtration Grade
The grade you need depends on your water and on what you are protecting. A finer element traps more, but needs flushing more often. As a general guide, start with the finest grade your flow and water quality will tolerate without constant flushing.
